Much of holiday baking can be tedious and time consuming, so these almond clusters are a nice change of pace. In addition to only requiring three ingredients, this recipe boasts a ten minute prep time- simply melt the chocolate, stir in the almonds until they are well coated, and then drop the nuts into mounds on a baking sheet. A sprinkling of sea salt gives these treats a nice polished finish.

Another wonderful thing about this recipe is that it can be customized according to one’s tastes. We tested these nut clusters with both milk and dark chocolate, and they were equally wonderful. Not a fan of almonds? Just about any kind of nuts can be used- we recommend trying peanuts or even cashews.

In addition to being easy to prepare, these nuts can be made ahead of time and frozen until needed. Simply place the chocolate-coated nuts in the refrigerate to solidify, and once they are set transfer them to a container, using wax paper to separate layers.
